What a term we've had! A long one, yes, but a great one!
Can you believe that in Term Three our students learned a combined total of more than 175 pieces? When you look at it that way, ten weeks hardly seems like enough time to have achieved so much.
It was a winter term with lots of bright moments. We had our first months in the new studio, and it was such a positive start. There was generous help and support from the whole community as we moved across to our School's new home. Everyone at the Eltham Leisure Centre has been wonderful in welcoming our staff, students and families to the site. Thank you to all.
Change is exciting, and we love it. Just as well. There's been plenty of it lately! Benn and I recently moved house –another new home to enjoy with the most perfect window for a new piano. I can't wait to head over to Bernies Music Land to see what beauties he has on offer.
Spring has sprung, as they say, and it's lovely to see the days growing warmer, to have a break, and to take some extra time to do the things we love most. For me, that includes music, of course. And I think I have a new fan. Pete the Possum is my new pet, who potters around in my garden, and listens to me practising at night. He's definitely there for the music. Well, that's my story, anyway, and I'm sticking to it.
I hope you are all having a happy holiday break, and looking forward to Term Four. We begin classes again on Monday, October 3rd, and there are lots of exciting things ahead. You can keep up with what's happening on our Events page.
Our biggest celebration event gets a special mention. The End of Year Concert will be held on Saturday, November 26th – an important date to mark in your diary. Better still, book your tickets early, as there is limited seating. As you will find out, it isn't called An Evening with the Stars for nothing. Hope you can all be there.
Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the school holidays, and we'll see you in a couple of weeks!
