This year has been one of the most incredibly life altering ones in my 32 years on this Earth. Some of it has been fabulous, some very painful. A few of you know but most don’t: my marriage sadly ended during the year and dealing with that has been difficult. It’s been a bittersweet year that has taught me so much about myself, my tribe, our community, life and the power of music.
There are Christmas carols playing in the supermarkets. I can't believe it's that time of the year. There's definitely no snow, but there are lots – and lots – of stars. And they are all ready to shine at our End-of-Year Concert!
The year has flown by and now it's almost over. Our students have been busy preparing their performances for the Concert, which is less than three weeks away. It's a big moment in their lives and as it comes closer, they are excited and nervous. Both are good.
