Mellanie Who?

Who is Mellanie, and why is she even here?

Drawing on her own experiences, Mellanie was driven to shake things up in order to create a space and opportunities for children, musicians, educators and families. Knowing that music can touch lives so profoundly, she’s determined to ensure there exists a platform that is accessible to everyone and she works tirelessly to constantly improve, create and push the boundaries so music and mentoring can continue to make an impact on the lives of those that need it the most.

Mellanie is a gifted educator and coach. Her approach to music education is very unique, focussing her skills on the 4-25 year-old age groups and helping them to overcome the challenges and blocks that present themselves both musically and in everyday life.

She’ll have your musician believing anything is possible in no time…because it is.

  • I want to share the tools I have that can help you tackle things with confidence.

So, why?

As a child and young adult that suffered from crippling anxiety, low self-esteem and some negative head chatter, Mellanie is proof that music, teachers and mentors who believe in you, can change the course of a life forever.

She is determined to remind the world that there is more to music than scales, chords and exams.

  • I learnt to express myself.

  • Mentors spotlighted and nurtured my strengths.

  • Music helped my confidence grow.

“Without the support, genuine care, and generosity of heart from a collection of amazing people, mentors, coaches and professionals in their own right, I would have lacked the skills to navigate some of the curlier aspects of life.

From caring teachers and mentors who saw me and took the time to nurture my potential and teach me valuable life skills, to realising my own gifts and abilities, I slowly but surely started to find myself and my voice, finding ways to express myself and build my confidence through music.

Now, I look at the things I’ve gained and the ability I have to share these tools and gifts onto the next generation and I am grateful every day.”
