There is no secret sauce

It totally sucks, but there it is. There is no magical eight ball or sage ol’ guru to hand you ‘the’ answer when it comes to you and your life.

The only person who has what it takes to make decisions and choices for you…is you! Anything less than that and you’ll still be feeling frustrated or worse. In my experience, outsourcing these things can lead to regrets and that one is a hard pill to swallow.

You know those moments (or hours…days…heck, even months!) when you find yourself incredibly frustrated at where you are at in life and just wish someone would give you the damn answer already!?! When you just hope someone else will make a move or a decision for you so you don’t have to?

#frustrating

Well, you’re certainly not alone. And this one hits hard (and is so very annoying), but nobody is coming to you with the ‘elusive’ answer or solution! And if they do, just be sure to ask yourself if they really know you better than you know yourself (because #spoileralert - nobody knows you better than you do).

Sure… people can offer opinions and advice, ask questions for you to consider and even challenge you to contemplate things you don’t really want to have to - but the truth is, it’s up to you and you have to live with the outcomes. So, buckle in my friend, because the answer is already inside you.

That frustration you feel? It’s there to let you know you actually want to act, change things up a little and it’s nudging you - okay, maybe more like kickin’ your ass - until you take some action. So get moving!

I knoooooow. Easier said than done, right?

Here’s my friendly advice for you today. Experiment. Start asking yourself questions. What would happen if you [insert the ‘thing’ you’re avoiding doing ‘cause it feels so damn uncomfortable or scary].

On the flip side, there are times more often than not, where it can be incredibly simple. What works for you? What feels good? What feels easy? Things don’t have to always be hard. Take it from someone who thought that all things ‘worth it’ had to feel hard. Not so folks.

Sure. Some things are definitely more challenging to overcome or take more grit to get moving through, but the point is to get moving, even if it’s just a teeny tiny bit. Movement is movement and it will eventually lead to the other side of what you’re ‘going through’ or ‘stuck in’ or ‘frustrated with’ or just downright ‘done with’.

Give yourself permission to experiment. To experience.  To mess up. To learn. To live. Really live.

Embrace every moment, even the ones that test you. And let the easy ones be easy!
